SKETCH WALK

Participate with Earth Mother in a safe, focused and personal way. Earn your appetite, too.

Join us for a Nature Hike/Sketch, appropriately designed for the agile or the fragile.  We'll observe and learn about many ecosystems: coastal shore, beach, coastal scrub, riparian, woodland, tide pools, and the great variety of species found living there.  All locations in one or two sites, closeby.

Gather and set out to one of the biomes (region of habitat). Sketch species of interest. After our catered lunch, we'll move on to a coastal trail, beach (or park), where we share and discuss the virtues of organic gardening and domestic green habits. We'll continue drawing or painting until late afternoon.

Besides investigating our artistic side we'll learn about the structure of nature, adaptation of native plants and take in the beauty and vitality of this glorious region.

This workshop can be one, two or three days, depending upon group's schedule. Art materials are supplied. There are a few large rocks and benches for sitting, but to be on the safe side, you should bring a portable chair or pillow and a surface board to steady your art pad. We also suggest a sun hat, sun screen, water and clothes for layering. Long pants are recommended.

Fee: $85 each per day (one catered lunch per day. Does not include housing.
